Timelapse – Intro

This technique gives you the ability to take sequential photos captured over a period of time and compressing them into a video only lasting a few seconds or a few minutes. We have the ability to keep cameras on the job for days, weeks or even months. The results are stunning.

Tools

The intervalometer is the most important piece to the time-lapse puzzle. It’s the brain of the entire system. It turns the camera on tells it to take the picture and to turn off so as to not waste battery life. We have sever intervalometers for different uses. Depending on the length of time the camera need to be on location or the location itself.

Camera Systems

Harbortronics – These cameras have a weather proof housing and can be left of months at a time. They are outfitted with a solar panel or you can use direct power the system.

Canon 5d Mark IV – The Canon system is used for the day. We typically use this system for 6 or so hours capturing the sunset on a dusk shot.

Brinno – These cameras run off batter and can last a month. While this is not a full size camera system you can place them in more places and rougher environments.
